the RAGLAN
The raglan t-shirt has a unique history that dates back to the early 19th century. It was named after Lord FitzRoy Somerset, the 1st Baron Raglan, a British Army officer who fought in the Battle of Waterloo (1815). After losing his arm in battle, he needed a more flexible sleeve design that allowed for better mobility. His tailor created a seamless shoulder construction with diagonal sleeves that extended from the collar to the underarm, allowing for greater range of motion.
This design was later adopted in sportswear and workwear because of its comfort, ease of movement, and durability. By the mid-20th century, raglan t-shirts became a staple in baseball uniforms, further cementing their place in vintage and athletic-inspired fashion.
the RAGLAN, by CLUB LE DON, was designed to honor these ideals of combining effortless functionality with timeless fashionability.
